First we went camping at the top of the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was a windy, windy, no-sleep night in the tent--but that's what camping is all about!

Next we braved the chilly water at Sliding Rock.

Then we visited Sky Top Apple Orchard and had a lot of fun picking just the right apples. In the future we'll bring some cash or checks so we can actually buy the apples we pick. :)

Yesterday for the big Grand Finale event, we spent the whole day at Carowinds. Jeremy and Jake rode the big scary rides, while Audrey and I played it safe in Snoopy Land.
What a great weekend!

Why haven't I checked your blog in so long? :)
That does sound like a great weekend! Good for you to brave a camping trip with kids...that always intimidates me. We haven't been brave enough to do it much.
