Sdrawkcab Ytrap

We had some wild and crazy fun at Jacob's Backwards Party yesterday. Upside-down cupcakes, Seek and Hide, and Pin the Donkey on the Tail were the order of the day.

the partyers

Yerdua woke up from her nap just in time to celebrate

we started things off by reading "The End," a backwards fairy tale

trying to jump over the limbo stick

one last burst of chaos before the parents came

enjoying his spoils after the kids were gone and the balloons were all popped on the rose bushes (why not?)

Side Note: since pictures can't convey the sounds of the scene, you'll have to imagine hearing these among the din...
  • shattering glass and Skittles scattering across the kitchen floor (Aud-rey)
  • Latin tunes for the party-effect
  • "This is the worst birthday party ever" and accompanying angst from Jacob, then just the opposite 10 minutes later
  • the kids all singing "You to Birthday Happy" to a smiling 6-year old
