As soon as Isaac was born, we looked forward to introducing him to
his grandparents. Grandpa and Grandma Hillam came for several days
before his blessing day. There is nothing like handing your newborn to their Grandma the first time. :)
They
spent a lot of time holding him, and we got a few things fixed up here and there, too. Grandpa installed a new dishwasher for us, and built a brick-making mold with the kids--it worked! And one night Grandma and the kids and I went downtown Charlotte to see the Peter Pan Ballet, which was a kick. Jacob tried really hard to convince us that he was bored and unimpressed, but when the alligator came out dancing gangnam style, he couldn't hold back the laughter.
Isaac turned on the charm with his new smiling skills. I couldn't resist taking this picture of his adoring fans who were captivated by a particularly good smile-show. We sure loved having them here!
