This Just In: Audrey Turns Six!

At six years old, our Audrey:

-is suddenly reading everything she can get her hands on! It is so exciting to watch. She loves to read out loud to us, and a few weeks ago was reading "Frog and Toad" to me. It felt like a circle-of-life-moment because I remember reading the very same story to my parents at her age (and even have an audio recording).

-lives for her playtime with the neighbors across the street. She has been out of the dress-up stage for quite a while, but one neighbor girl who is younger has sparked Audrey's interest again. They come back and forth from house to house with different dresses each time.

-wants a cat, but knows that I'm allergic to them; so she wants a dog, even though she's a tiny bit afraid of them.

-just learned to write her name in cursive, and has decorated many a paper with her new signature

-is still snuggly and affectionate (hooray!)

-loves the smell of peppermint oil at bedtime so much that she requests a few drops on a little pink hankie to smell as she falls asleep sometimes.

Basically, she is the most wonderful six year old girl we have ever known!
