Here's a peek at our time together.
Mom taught me how to use my sewing machine!We made a flannel quilt for Audrey's bed--
a perfect, very forgiving learning project for me.
While we sewed, Grandpa built!He made us a much-needed workbench for the garage,
and an adorable doll-house-style book case for Audrey's room (pictures to come).
We spent Saturday morning at a nearby plantation. We panned for gold with no luck, Jake climbed trees, and we had a picnic. Then, for the ultimate of treats, Grandpa and Grandma made dutch-oven potatoes and scones for dinner. They hadn't seen the kids in well over a year, so it was a thrill to have them here. We loved every minute.

what a wonderful time! gram and gramps were doing what they do best--sewing and building. it must have been a very sweet time together after a year of not getting together. love all the sunny pics. can't wait to see your quilt for audrey and the house that gramps built...
too bad about the gold panning. come up here to alaska...i'm sure your odds would be a lot better! *wink*
