Okay, I'll admit I felt a little nervous about my first parent-teacher conference today. Thankfully Jake's teacher had lots of good things to say. He's working hard and really getting into school. He loves it, in fact! To begin, she told me one of his funnies. He said to her one day, "I'm the 8th wonder of the world!" She asked him what he meant exactly, so he explained, "You know the 7 wonders of the world, like the great pyramids? Well, I'm the 8th!!" I have no idea where he came up with that, and she doesn't either; but we had a good laugh over it.
